The Domestic Violence (DV) division at ABH provides high quality treatment with an emphasis on accountability and education. The 12-month treatment program focuses on examining old habits and values while learning new skills that lead to balanced and non-violent relationships. Commitment to exceeding the requirements and expectations of our clients in a positive atmosphere of flexibility, trust and respect is our top priority.
Being caught in a cycle of violence in a power-and-control-based relationship causes a great deal of unhappiness, pain and destruction in the lives of both the victim and the perpetrator of the violence. While we are committed to protecting the safety of victims, we are similarly committed to assisting the men and women who select our program for their treatment needs. Our goal is to help them find the inner ability to accept responsibility for their actions and the courage to stop using violence, leading to happier and more satisfying lives.
