Mental Health is often a frightening or uncomfortable term and many people find the search for help difficult and embarrassing. Unfortunately, without necessary treatment small personal troubles can grow into unmanageable circumstances that affect everyone around them. An encouraging outcome of obtaining counseling is the realization that mental health problems often have genuine, workable solutions that become the foundation to a happier more fulfilling life.

At ABH, innumerable treatment programs fall into the mental health category. A small selection of these includes: ADD, anxiety, depression, marriage counseling, family therapy, post-traumatic stress, and eating disorders. Any major life transition is also cause to seek counseling services..

ABH offers a wide range of treatment options in a safe and nurturing environment, enabling the client to seek the appropriate forms of counseling best suited to their individual needs. No matter what may be the problem, we're here to provide evaluations, treatment options, and resources. Call us today. ABH is dedicated to our clients' confidentiality and offers day, evening, and weekend appointments and can see you within 24 hours of your first call.

Mental Health Services at Associated Behavioral Health Care

Associated Behavioral Health takes an integrative approach to mental health assessments and treatment. In general, our process works using a two pronged approach to treatment and diagnosis. The entry point for clients for a mental health assessment often begins with an initial screening, assessment, and treatment recommendations. The screening and assessment process is based upon best practices and is oriented towards diagnostic criteria as established by the DSM-IVTR. The DSM-IV is the primary instrument used for the assessment and diagnosis of mental health issues and is considered comprehensive by many medical and mental health providers. Our assessment process recognizes the impact of psychosocial events and gathers the life history of the prospective client as well as diagnostic criteria. This leads to a more accurate evaluation of the client’s mental health and looks at how life circumstances, life experience, and family history affect a client’s perspective of themselves and the world. The process of treatment planning and recommendations involves several possible outcomes. The primary treatment recommendations are designed to meet criteria for a mental health diversion if that is appropriate for the client and in the client’s best interests. Treatment recommendations may include a chemical dependency evaluation by a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) and if substance abuse or dependence issues are identified appropriate treatment to treat the chemical issue. The results of this assessment are merged with the mental health assessment to form an integrative approach to treatment for the client. Our approaches to psychotherapeutic intervention are integrative in nature and can include many modalities of treatment. This could include psychodynamic psychotherapy, systems interventions, and cognitive models of treatment. Our goal at ABH is to provide a set of mental health services that are tailored to the client’s needs and represent the best practices in the industry for treatment of mental health, substance dependence, and co-occurring disorder patients.
